On November 7th, under the witness of Premier LI Keqiang and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, ZHANG Kejian, Administrator of China National Space Administration, and Rogozin, General Manager of the State Space Corporation "ROSCOSMOS", signed “AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CHINA NATIONAL SPACE ADMINISTRATION (THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA) AND THE STATE SPACE CORPORATION "ROSCOSMOS" (THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION) ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF SPACE DEBRIS MONITORING AND PRACTICAL USE OF GATHERED DATA”, which laid the foundation for cooperation in the field of space debris.
With the development of small satellite, space debris monitoring and space flight safety have become the hot spot of the international space community in recent years. China-Russia joint research on space debris monitoring and laws and regulations on long-term sustainability of outer space activities reflects responsibility of major countries.
