CNSA and SNSB signed memorandum of understanding on space cooperation

Xu Dazhe, Vice minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT) and Administrator of China National Space Administration(CNSA), met with Peter Egardt, Board Chairman of Swedish National Space Board(SNSB) and Peter Norberg, Director General of SNSB, discussed about space cooperation and signed Memorandum Of Understanding Between The China National Space Administration And The Swedish National Space Board On Cooperation In The Exploration And Use Of Outer Space For Peaceful Purposes in Sweden on Sept. 7-9.

Mr. Xu said, Sweden is the first country which purchase the launch service of Long March rocket from China. Space related institute and industry from both countries are carrying out many space projects. I hope both parties can strengthen the cooperation on space field, fulfil the ongoing collaborative project, expand the cooperative area and bring benefit to people of both countries.

Both of our space agencies signed this MoU, agreed to establish a joint space committee mechanis, boost substantial cooperation fields on space science, space technology, earth observation and commercial launch service etc.

Mr. Xu visited Swedish key space laboratory, ground station of Chinese Gaofen satellite which is under construction, surveyed Swedish space related institute and industry.

Mr. Chen Yuming, Chinese ambassador to Sweden, Mr. Wu Yansheng, General Manager of CASC and representatives from MIIT and CAS attend this visit.
