On the morning of September 23, Dr. Ma Xingrui, Administrator of China National Space Administration (CNSA), met with Musabayev Talgat Amangelidievich, Chairman of National Space Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is attending the 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) held in Beijing. Ma warmly welcomed Musabayev for his coming to Beijing to attend the 64th IAC. Both parties made deep exchanges on space cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
Ma pointed out that China-Kazakhstan space cooperation is an important reflection for both parties to develop bilateral relation in high-tech areas, and the China-Kazakhstan intergovernmental space cooperation agreement was signed under the witness of leaders from both countries in this September. He hoped that both parties will further promote the practical development of the China-Kazakhstan space cooperation based on the intergovernmental space cooperation agreement.
Musabayev congratulated Ma on his receiving the Allan D. Emil Memorial Award, and expressed that Kazakhstan is willing to strengthen communications and cooperation with China in areas such as space talent training, and promote the development of space industry of the two countries.
Tian Yulong, Secretary General of CNSA, and the related personnel of China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) attended the meeting.
