On September 21, Dr. Ma Xingrui, Administrator of China National Space Administration (CNSA), met with Prof. Seidu Onailo Mohammed, Director-General of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Nigeria. Mohammed is to attend the 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) to be held in Beijing. Ma warmly welcomed Mohammed to China to attend the 64th IAC. Both parties made deep communications and exchanges on space cooperation between China and Nigeria, and expressed to continue to promote the practical cooperation of the two countries within the framework of the space cooperation agreement signed early this year.

In January 2013, CNSA and NASRDA signed the Agreement on Cooperation in Space Science and Technology between China National Space Administration of the People’s Republic of China and National Space Research and Development Agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,which is the first space cooperation agreement between China and Nigeria.

Mr. Tian Yulong, the Secretary General of CNSA, and the related directors of China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC) attended the meeting.
