On July 5th, the Seventh Meeting of the Council of Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) concluded in Beijing. Dr. MA Xingrui, vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), as well as Administrator of China National Space Administration (CNSA), was elected as the third Chairman of the Council.

Dr. MA expressed that he would continue to support the sustainable development of APSCO, and jointly build APSCO into a good platform for peace uses of outer space and pragmatic regional cooperation.

TU Senlin, Director General of the Department of Civil-Military Integration Promotion of MIIT, ZHOU Shaoqing, Deputy Director General of the Department, ZHAO Yonghong, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of MIIT, TIAN Yulong, Secretary General of Coordination Committee for International Cooperation of CNSA, ZHAN Chunli, Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs of CNSA, and the representatives from the Department of International Organizations and Conferences and the Department of Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Mechanic, Electronic and High-Tech Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Finance and the Department of Human Resources and Education of MIIT, and the Department of General Administration and Department of System Engineering of CNSA attended the meeting.
