On the morning of September 6, a signing ceremony for the industrialization base project of next-generation of launch vehicle was held in Tianjin city. Zhang Qingwei, minister of COSTIND; Zhang Gaoli, the secretary of municipal Party committee of Tianjin; Sun Laiyan and Yu Liegui, deputy ministers of COSTIND; Huang Xingguo, executive vice mayor of Tianjin; Ma Xingrui, general manager of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation attended the signing ceremony, of which Sun Laiyan, Huang Xingguo and Ma Xingrui delivered speeches, respectively.

Zhang Qingwei and Zhang Gaoli held in-depth exchange and reached mutual understanding about project construction and further cooperation.
 
Zhang Qingwei expressed thanks to the Municipal Party Committee and Government of Tianjin, both of which have attached great importance to and vigorously supported the development of national S&T industry. Accelerating the development and opening-up of New Coastal Area of Tianjin plays an extremely important role in driving the regional economic development, especially for revitalizing the economic growth of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei as well as Circum-Bohai Region, promoting interaction and coordinated development of eastern, central and western regions in realizing the national strategy of coordinated regional development, said Mr. Zhang. The industrialization base project of new generation of launch vehicle is located in Tianjin through repetitive argumentation and selection. COSTIND is confident of building up this project in collaboration with Tianjin. He further expressed, COSTIND will bring the role of national defense industry into full play in accordance with the reorientation of New Coastal Area of Tianjin, strength the cooperation with Tianjin Municipality, and proactively channel more enterprises and public institutions to the development of New Coastal Area for making greater contributions to Tianjin economic and social development.

At the meeting, Zhang Gaoli, on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Government of Tianjin, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the support from COTIND to the development of Tianjin and New Coastal Area over the years, and also delivered warm congratulation on the signing ceremony of new generation of launch vehicle project. He said, New Coastal Area, as a project site for new generation of launch vehicle, would play a big part in speeding up the development and opening-up of New Coastal Area, boosting the development of top-quality hi-tech industries and upgrading the industrial structure and development level of Tianjin.

The leaders from relevant departments of COTIND, Duan Chunhua, Secretary-General of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and other leaders attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.
