China National Space Administration mission comprising 11 members has attended the 25th IADC Conference hosted by CNES recently.
On the opening ceremony of the conference, the representatives with China National space Administration have read the letter, which Mr.Sun Laiyan, Deputy Administrator with China National Space Administration extended to the conference, introduced the achievements that China has made in space debris research in recent one year, restated China’s policy for peaceful utilization of outer space & joint efforts with international society for reducing space debris. In the workshop, China’s mission exchanged totally ten academic reports, covering monitoring, evolvement, detection, and protection and reduction of space debris, attended relevant activities of several IADC organizations and made huge achievements.
IADC includes five work groups under it: steering group (SG), watching group (WG1), environment and database group (WG2), protection group (WG3) and reduction group (WG4). Chinese mission attended all meeting arrangements of the above-said five groups. The conference has determined that the 26th and 27th IADC Conference would be held in Moscow, Russia in April 2008 and Germany in 2009 by ESA respectively.
