[from CNSA] On August 29, 2003, the fourth conference of Space Cooperation Sub Committee of China and Russia Regular Premier Meet Committee was held in Beijing. The conference reviewed the achievements since the establishment of the sub committee, confirmed the direction of cooperation between China and Russia in field of space technology in the future, and made new cooperation program.

China and Russia discussed and reached an agreement on how to enhance space cooperation and set up long-term and strategic partnership at the conference.

Luan Enjie, chairman of Sub Committee of Space Cooperation and administrator of China National Space Administration, and Goptrev, administrator of Russian Space and Aviation Administration, attended the meeting. Representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Information Industry, CNSA, Chinese Academy of Sciences and those from Russia took part in the conference.
