On September 15, 2007, COSTIND held China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite-02B promotion seminar in Beijing, Sun Laiyan, vice minister of COSTIND & director of CNSA attend the seminar.

At the meeting, Sun Laiyan gave a mobilization speech and emphasized the demands: 1. make unremitting efforts to promote the application of resources satellite; 2. follow a policy-guided and market-oriented approach to development; 3. adhere to the users first and demand-driven principle; 4. push forward the world-wide application of 02B by insisting on international exchange and cooperation.

The R&D progress of CBERS 02B and preparation of field range, the construction progress and preparation of 02B ground-based system and China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite Data Policy (proposal) were briefed in this meeting. And, the participants discussed the data policy of China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite(proposal).
