In the afternoon of July 24, 2007, Mr.Sun Laiyan, Deputy Minister with the Commission Of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense met Wu Shaoliang, Peruvian Ambassador to China as planned.

Mr.Wu Shaoliang introduced Andean Community and said that the organization was one of important regional organizations in Latin America, with members including Peru, Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador.

Mr.Wu Shaoliang expressed that Andean Community expected to cooperate with China in space field, especially in communication satellite field.

Mr.Sun Laiyan said China would like to carry out exchange and cooperation with Andean Community countries including Peru in peaceful utilization of space field and would help it develop aviation science and technology.
