Administrator Ma Met with Chief Executive of UKSA
Date:2013-09-25

On the afternoon of September 24, Dr. Ma Xingrui, Administrator of China National Space Administration (CNSA), met with Mr. David Parker, Chief Executive of UK Space Agency (UKSA) in Beijing. Both parties made friendly communications about China-UK space cooperation.

Ma pointed out that UK holds an important position in European space industry and CNSA always pays attention to the space cooperation with European countries. CNSA hopes, together with UKSA, to make use of our own advantages to explore cooperation areas conforming to mutual benefits of both parties. Ma hoped that the two parties can take the meeting as an opportunity to initiate the related work on signing a space cooperation agreement to further promote China-UK space cooperation.

Parker agreed to Ma’s suggestions, and said that UKSA is willing to continue to strengthen communications and deepen space exchanges and cooperation between the two countries on the basis of the existing cooperation.

Tian Yulong, Secretary General of CNSA, Wang Chengwen, Director General of Earth Observation and Data Center under CNSA, and other related personnel attended the meeting.
